Welcome to the official Florida Air National
Guard Family Readiness website. We’re here to help you, our
Guard members and loved ones, prepare for military separation.
We all know that “the call” can come at any time. In
fact, with the current global climate, it seems not as much a matter
of “if,” but “when.”
You may not realize it, but your readiness is vital to the success
of your Guard member’s mission. If you are well prepared
for military separation, then you’ll feel more confident.
If you feel confident, then your Guard member will be able to focus
more clearly on his/her mission. Better focus ensures a safe and
effective mission, and a more timely return.
This site will help you to get ready. Simply click on your unit
in the left-hand tool bar to learn four easy steps to create a very comprehensive Family
Readiness Plan (FRP), a vital tool for Family - and Mission-Readiness.
On this site you will also find links to a readiness checklist, information
on Wills and Powers of Attorney, insight on how best to cope with
military separations, and a list of helping agencies and government
contacts. If you have any questions, please call the FANG Family
Readiness Office.
The Headquarters of the Florida Air National Guard is located at
the Joint Forces Headquarters, St. Francis Barracks in St.
Augustine. Its mission is to provide leadership, guidance, and
peacetime command and control of all Florida Air National Guard
units to meet both federal and state missions.
